Your new role – what’s involved?

You will be an experienced consultant joining our growing team of technical sustainability experts and take up a strategic project management role. You will have a strong background in corporate sustainability reporting, including carbon accounting, and will be comfortable analysing and verifying quantitative data. You will have a minimum of two years of relevant consulting and project management experience. As a plus, a background in sustainable products or nature would be desirable.

You will be part of the delivery team and will work mainly on our Sustainable Business team projects, working with organisations to develop and implement their sustainability strategies and be a trusted reporting partner. A significant part of the role will be handling detailed performance data and providing analysis and liaising with clients in an engaging and relatable manner. Day to day will include:

• Working with existing and prospective clients to identify opportunities to improve the sustainability of their operations
  
• End-to-end project management
  
• Business development and the cultivation of new leads
  
• Line management once settled into the role

Your skills and experience

You will:

• be self‐motivated with the ability to manage your own time, including priority‐setting, multi‐tasking and problem‐solving.

• have technical knowledge of current business requirements such as double materiality, sustainability reporting frameworks (CDP, TCFD, CSRD, and SASB), and carbon accounting.

• strong data handling and numeracy skills and be confident with Microsoft Excel.

• excellent attention to detail and ability to apply technical knowledge to analyse problems and create solutions.

• be an excellent written and verbal communicator, with the ability to engage with a wide range of people in an appropriate manner.

Ideally, you have around two years of experience within the sustainability sector, preferably as an in-house corporate sustainability officer or a consultant.

Qualifications

Educated to degree level (preferably in a related discipline such as environmental science, geography, engineering or an equivalent) or with relevant work experience.
