How we can support you with CDP disclosure

We help support your organisation at every stage – from understanding which questions apply to you, to gathering information from your team, to preparing a submission that will fit the criteria. Our expert team can support you across all five areas of CDP:

🌍 Climate change
🌳 Forests
🏞️ Water security
🦋 Biodiversity
🧋 Plastics

We know and understand the CDP scoring system and know what it is looking for. We understand the current best practice and tiering and can help guide you through the questionnaire. To help prepare you for the score you can expect, we can conduct a mock scoring assessment.

If you are considering a CDP submission, you will need a carbon footprint completed beforehand – read more about our footprinting services here, which include full scope 1, 2 and 3 calculations.

Our CDP experience

We’ve been supporting Kingfisher PLC (B&Q, Screwfix, Tradepoint & more) for over a decade, acting as a critical friend and preparing responses. We started managing Kingfisher's Climate Change CDP submission in 2017, and have taken it from a B in 2016, to an A- in 2023.

We started supporting Kingfisher on its Forests disclosure in 2020 and have taken it from a D/C to a B in 2023.

We have also supported clients on CDP’s Biodiversity and Plastics disclosures.

FAQs: What is CDP and why does it matter?

CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) is a global non-profit working to secure a thriving economy that works for people and planet over the long term. CDP runs the global disclosure system that enables companies, cities, states and regions to measure and manage their environmental impacts.

Often described as the ‘gold standard’ of corporate environmental reporting, CDP’s disclosure questionnaire is fully aligned with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures’ (TCFD) recommendations.

Disclosure through CDP provides a foundation for achieving ambitious corporate action across five areas:

  • Climate change
  • Forests
  • Water security
  • Biodiversity
  • Plastics
